     Claude Hamilton, Lord Paisley, Dean of Dunbar, Canon of Glasgow was born circa 1544; Age 14 in 1553 & 1560, underage in 1564.1,5,4 A contract for the marriage of Claude Hamilton, Lord Paisley, Dean of Dunbar, Canon of Glasgow and Margaret Seton was signed between 15 June 1574 and 16 June 1574.7,2,4 Claude Hamilton, Lord Paisley, Dean of Dunbar, Canon of Glasgow married Margaret Seton, daughter of George Seton, 5th Lord Seton, Master of the Royal Household and Isabell Hamilton, on 1 August 1574 at Niddry Castle, Winchburgh, Linlithgow, Scotland; They had 7 sons (James, 1st Earl of Abercorn; Sir John; Sir Claude; Sir George, Sir Frederick; Henry; & Alexander) & 2 daughters (Margaret; & Margaret, wife of William Douglas, 11th Earl of Angus).7,2,4 Claude Hamilton, Lord Paisley, Dean of Dunbar, Canon of Glasgow died in 1621.1,5,4

     Beatrice Douglas and Robert Maxwell, 6th Lord Maxwell obtained a marriage license in 1528; Sanctioned by the King.2 Beatrice Douglas married Robert Maxwell, 6th Lord Maxwell, son of Robert Maxwell, 4th Lord Maxwell, Admiral of Scotland and Janet Douglas, circa 25 July 1530.3 Beatrice Douglas died after 31 October 1583.1
