However, because Grissel was the second of that name and due to the date of Grissel's marriage, I conclude that she was also the daughter of Elizabeth Carlisle.5,6 Robert Semphill, 3rd Lord Semphill was born circa 1505.1 A contract for the marriage of Robert Semphill, 3rd Lord Semphill and Margaret Crichton was signed before 13 September 1513; Marriage didn't take place.7 Robert Semphill, 3rd Lord Semphill married Elizabeth Hamilton, daughter of Sir William Hamilton, High Treasurer of Scotland and Katherine Kennedy, before 7 April 1538.7,8,9 Robert Semphill, 3rd Lord Semphill died between 1 August 1573 and 17 January 1576.1
