He was one of a family of eight children. At the age of five years he came with is parent to America, located at Providence, Ill., where he was educated and grew to manhood. On November 10, 1872, he married Miss Sophia Tilzine. To this Union [sic] twelve children, three sons and nine daughters were born. The wife passed away on August 1, 1897, and five children, Elmer H., Grace E. Carper, Clara L. Nelson, Anna S. Timmons and Jessie C. Winslow preceded their father in death. The others are Emma M. Bliss of Newkirk, Okla; Ethel E. Studebaker of Sunset, Texas; Asa J., Fred H., Bertha S. Timmons, Allie M. Timmons and Hazel R. Porter, all of Fredonia.
On September 7, 1899, he married Mrs. Nellie Crane of Princeton, Ill. To this union were born one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Dice, and three sons, Thomas J., Charles L., and Harold L., all of Fredonia. His wife and these six daughter and five sons and one step-daughter, Mrs. Ida Thornton, are left to mourn his death.
He also leaves one brother, J. T. Kidd of Greeley, Colo; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Miles [should be Milem] of Centralia, Wash; twenty-nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
On January 31, 1902, Mr. Kidd brought his family to Wilson county and settled on the farm four miles northeast of Fredonia, which was his home at the time of his death. He was an honest, industrious man, one of the prosperous farmers of his community and well liked by all who knew him. He was a good husband and father, a helpful friend and neighbor and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. C. O. Wilson, assisted by Rev. Chas. E. Todd, were held at the Christian church at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon, February 6, and the body was taken to Buda, Ill., for burial. after 4 February 1931.1

Burton McInturf, 73, Princeton, uncle of Roy McInturf, Mrs. Myra Whitmore, both of Mendota, and Mrs. Maude Eckart of Chicago, died Sunday morning, Sept. 6, at Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton. He had been a patient for ten days.

Born June 22, 1880, in Junietta, [Juniata] Nebraska, he was the son of Adolphus and Celia Bonds McInturf. He came to Illinois when he was 14 years of age and worked on a farm near Serena. He also worked at elevators in Amboy and Malden. He was a station agent at Zearing, represented Armour and Company, and was a partner in the Princeton elevator and Coal Co. He retired ten years ago.

Mr. McInturf married Laura Eck of Malden on October 27, 1910. She preceded her in death February 16, 1951.

Surviving are a brother, Fred of Yorkville; a sister, Ida Lamson of Morris; and several nieces and nephews. His parents, four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at the Malden Methodist Church, Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. David Fison officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery, Princeton.
