Harold Alfred "Bud" Carlson Harold "Bud" Carlson, 87, of International Falls, Minnesota, died at his Shorewood Drive home on May 23, 2012.Bud was born in Evansville, Minnesota, on October 12, 1924, to Aldrich and Agnes (Nelson) Carlson. He spent his youth helping on the family farm. After graduating from Evansville High School in 1942, Bud joined the United States Navy Seabees. Following his discharge from the Navy, he returned to Evansville and started Carlson Construction Company. His brother Sherwin joined the company after returning from the Korean War and at the same time, his father Aldrich quit farming and joined the company.Bud's venture into business was very successful and he was proud of the many schools, churches, hotels, and nursing homes throughout the Midwest that were constructed under his supervision. He later entered into a partnership owning several Holiday Inns in northern Minnesota and retired in the late-1980s.In April 1977, Bud married Patricia (Balderson) Lyman and began the greatest adventure of his life. They lived in California a short time before making International Falls their home. Together, they built the "Casa Loma" on Rainy Lake, wintered in Mazatlan, Mexico, and Bullhead City, Arizona, and spent every possible moment together. Bud's greatest heartache was when Pat passed away in 2005.Bud was an accomplished entrepreneur and pilot but most importantly, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and sibling. His optimism, wise counsel, and unconditional love will be greatly missed.He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, parents Aldrich and Agnes Carlson, twin sister Harriet Johnson, and sisters Shirley Rossum and Mavis Winans.Bud is survived by sons Monty (Julie) Carlson of Evansville, Minnesota, and Jim (Lori) Lyman of International Falls; daughters Holli Carlson of Eagle River, Alaska, Terri Renollet and Deana (Van) Pavleck of International Falls; grandchildren, Jaime (Matt) Drewis, Jessie (Casey) Port, Jerad (Ashley) Kostiuk, Lisa (Clayton) Bahr, Ryan Bloom, Jason (Molly) Pavleck, Josh (Christine) Pavleck, and Ashley (Jared) Baldwin; great-grandchildren Jayden and Carter Drewis, Ashton Port, AnDrew Scholler, Shelby Wolden, Rylie Bloom, Aubrey and Elise Pavleck, Evi Pavleck, and Brodie Baldwin; brother Sherwin Carlson of North Dakota; and sisters June Rossum of Evansville, and Sylvia Goin of Phoenix, Arizona. Alice Carlson, 91, Evansville, Minnesota died Thursday, November 19, 2015, at her home under the care of her family & Douglas County Hospice.

Alice Mary Carlson was born on July 3, 1924, in Leaf Mountain Township, the daughter of Leo and Sally (Wargin) Gluba. She was baptized and confirmed in Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Millerville and attended Rural School in Leaf Mountain Township. As a young lady she helped her Mom on the farm and worked for Miller's Store in Millerville.

In 1948, Alice moved to Evansville and in 1953, moved into her present home. Alice was a homemaker, and had two children, Monty and Holli. Alice had a love of gardening, and her magical touch with plants was reflected in her beautiful flower gardens and abundant vegetable gardens. She shared her love of gardening with Monty, helping him transplant seedlings in his greenhouse. She liked canning the produce from her gardens and making jelly. Her interests included reading, crossword puzzles, watching birds, and collecting angels. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family as well as her daily games of solitaire. Alice loved sharing her beautiful handmade crocheted and knitted items with family and friends and was known for her hand-made washcloths. She was quick witted and she made sure her candy dish was always full to share with visitors. Alice was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, and over the years was involved in teaching Sunday School, Bible Studies, and Faith Women.

She is survived by two children, Monty (Julie) Carlson of Evansville and Holli Carlson of Evansville; sister, Jeanne Gluba of Yorba Linda, CA; and by numerous relatives and friends.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Cordella Gluba; and by two brothers, Arnold and Jim Gluba.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Monday, November 23, 2015, at Faith Lutheran Church in Evansville.

Visitation: Sunday from 3 to 5 PM at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Evansville - and one hour prior to the service at the church

A Memorial Service and urn dedication will take place at Riverside Memorial Park, 508 N. Government Way, on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 1:00 pm. A gathering to celebrate our dear Aunt Sandra's life will immediately follow. after 8 April 2013 at Write-Up.⁴

It is with great sorrow to announce that our beloved Jerry Lee Wright passed away on November 6, 2017 at Kadlec Regional Hospital in Richland, Washington. Jerry Lee Wright was born on March 1, 1939. He lived in Pasco, Washington his entire life.

Jerry was an outstanding leader in his community. Not only was he a Cub Scout Leader for years, but also a coach for the Pasco Bulldogs Grid Kids Football Program. Jerry was an avid fisherman and hunter. Much to his delight, his sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren followed in his footsteps. He was a true lover of outdoors. In addition, Jerry was a member of the American Legion, Moose, and Eagles Club.

He sang in a gospel quartet for many years and truly loved it. Singing brought Jerry great pleasure. Until his death, Jerry still sang every Saturday night Karaoke at the Moose. His Voice will never be forgotten.

Jerry worked 42 years at Boise Cascade. He was a very hard worker. Once retired, he continued to stay busy by raising 7,500 pheasants on a farm.

Not long after, it was time for Jerry and his wife to go south for the winter, so they sold everything, bought a fifth wheel, and enjoyed the warmer weather. After 10 years of traveling in the fifth wheel, Jerry and his wife moved back to Pasco where they both loved being with their large and growing family.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Gertrude Wright, his sister, Charlene Mann, and his son, Wayne William Wright.

He was survived by his wife, Juretta, of 59 years, as well as his three sons. Gerald (Patti) of Pasco, Washington, Danny (Gail) of Eugene, Oregon, and Todd of Marysville, Washington. Nine grandchildren, Jamie (Patrick), Lindsey (Matt), Kyle (Ashley), Ashley (Nick), Nikole, Shane, Alexandria, Mikayla, and Catrina and eleven great-grandchildren; Taylor, Kolton, Emmett, Adelyn, Tenley, Ronan, Madden, Brooks, Dawsyn, and Damion. Two brothers; Eugene (Freddie), Dennis (Elizabeth), nieces, nephews and many cousins. Come join us for the celebration of Jerry Lee Wright's life at Moose Lodge (in Knights of Columbus Building), 2617 W Sylvester, Pasco, Washington on November 11, 2017 at 1:00pm.
