She is survived by her husband, Rex R; one son, Jack L. Reust of Knoxville, Tenn; two daughters, J. Renee Thompson of Knoxville and Janelle R. Crisp of Aurora, Colo; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Dorothy Mae (Hardenbrook) Pyle, 90, of Wymore, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016, at Select Specialty Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born in Oketo, Kansas, on June 29, 1926. She was a 1944 graduate of Oketo High School. Dorothy married Duane Pyle on November 7, 1944. She worked as a caretaker at the Beatrice State Developmental Center until her retirement in the mid 1980’s. She was a member of River of Life Assembly of God Church. Dorothy enjoyed bowling, gardening, dancing, playing cards, and “garage saling.” She always looked forward to dinner at the Wymore Legion. Family was especially important to Dorothy. She loved spending time camping and fishing with family and fixing family meals.

Survivors include her children, Shirley (Norm) Fritz of Falls City, Nebraska, Dale (Mindy) Pyle of Wymore, Sandi (Gary) Gridley of Lincoln, and Steve Pyle of Wymore; grandchildren, Teresa (Pat) Olberding, Mik Fritz and special friend Bill Weaver, Kim (Dan) Gansen, Joe (Kelly) Fritz, Brad (Tia) Pyle, Corey Pyle, and Shelly Franzen; 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; infant son, Harold Pyle; sister, Erlene Cohorst; and her parents.3
